Hi all,

I have been running Duplicator plugin for moving WordPress live site to local server quite sometimes without problem.
```
Local server - on a VirtualBox VM
OS - Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 with LAMP server installed
New database created, by running commands
Database - MariaDB
Folder for Duplicator packages /var/www/html/website-name
Owner - www-data:www-data
```
In recent 2 days I encountered following problem;
Running – https://local-IP/website-name/installer.php on browser
All steps went through without problem until;
[Admin Login]

Clicking its tap popup following warning;
There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

But the email never arrives. I have tried other WP live sites with the same result. Please help. Thanks

I understand that you’ve migrated a live website to your localhost but you are not able to access your local site because you got a fatal erro.

To diagnose this issue, we need to know the error the crashed your local site.

Please enable the WordPress debug mode, and share what you find in the debug.log file with me.

Thanks for your advice.

I found out the cause. It is because of the plugins. Please see my another posting.

Plugin problem on migration

But it is very strange to me. Some sites after migrating to the VMs can re-activate all plugins and the migrated sites on the VMs can work without problem. Another migrated sites can’t reactivate all plugins and popup to a blank page with warning indicated. I’m still struggling.

All live sites are working on Internet without problem. Please help. Thanks

Further to my previous posting.

According to your link I have added the 2 lines on wp-config.php as follow;

define( ‘WP_SITEURL’, ‘https://192.168.1.143/piano2230524/’ );

define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

But I couldn’t find debug.log on /var/www/html/piano2230524/wp-content/

It is an endless debugging. I already found out the cause of the problem and solved it. Please see my another posting below;

I don’t know whether following folder and files were created by the hosting company of my websites;
~/wp-content/mu-plugins
endurance-page-cache.php
installatron_hide_status_test.php

I just deleted the folder and files then the problem gone, login page started, able to login and all installed plugins found.
