Problem syncing videos

We have an enormous number of videos in brightcove, dating back to 2006. So far the plugin seems to only be able to load into 2007 initially, and when I try selecting a filter it just spins forever. Is there a way to limit the number of videos the plugin pulls in? And could it load the most recent first? We really only need to pull in the last few years worth.
