I see the cut off images.

WordPress generates the thumbnails and when MaxGalleria request a thumbnail to display WordPress attempts to give the thumbnail that matches the requested size. And as we can see the thumbnails do not always come out perfect since these are rectangle images but the thumbnails are square. But that does not prevent you from manually recreating the cut off thumbnails and replacing them. I suggest this is the quickest and surest way to solve the problem.

The problem is that I already have a miniature cut square to get it right, but after updating maxgallerie sow gets the whole picture instead of the cut image.

Please check to see it the ones you replaced are still there. If necessary replace those images again. I don’t think the MaxGalleria regenerates any thumbnails images. That may be cause by WordPress or some other plugin.

Yes, the problem started after an update of wordpress, but has affected maxgallerie .
We have tried to make a new album and new images , and for some reason maxgallerie now take full image instead of the thumbnail.
There is no solution? I guess if you install an earlier version will work , but I want to work with the latest WordPress for safety.
