    Hello everyone,

I am a volunteer of the FabLab Bergamo APS association.

We have recently been using your plug-in to allow associates to support the association’s activities, even in this period of social distancing. The forms are complex for the regulatory subscription requests in Italy to protect privacy. At the moment we have generated separate forms for payments in cash or bank transfer, and a form dedicated to payments via PayPal. At the moment the payment is not successful: go to the PayPal system with the correct indication of the amount according to the selections made by the user, but do not proceed with the transaction.

This is the error message: “Error! Something went wrong during checkout and payment couldn’t be approved.”

Could you give me a hand to understand where the mistake is?
Furthermore, is it possible to integrate in the same form both the method of subscription via “Submit” (payment in person) and “via PayPal”?

This is the export of the form. > https://www.dropbox.com/s/lw1utp5upfbgiss/forminator-tesseramento-carte-form-export.txt?dl=0

  • I really second this. This is what has happened to us as well, so I would also like an update on this topic because I am sure the same answer can apply to us.

Until some days ago, we could actually have a form 2 methods of payments, both WORKING:

    1) pay with bank transfer (which would show a send message button)
    2) pay with paypal (which would show the paypal pop up)

However, recently, when someone picked the first option, the send message button would deliver the “Error! Something went wrong during checkout and payment couldn’t be approved.”

The Paypal option has always worked instead.

Now, with the latest update to 1.4.9, not only the error on the first option remains, but also but now I have 2 “send message” buttons appearing conditionally when clicking the first option and both deliver the same error!

The page i need help with is this one (and sorry the form is in italian):

    Hi @wpmudevsupport11

the conversation you mentioned was initially to integrate two payment methods (cash and PayPal) into the same form.

In both cases, a problem arises both in the simple submission of the form and in the PayPal online payment system.

In the open topic I sent both the association form, with a fictitious password, and a simplified form to test if the problem. At the moment the association uses the latest version of WordPress available for its website, and your plug in ver. 1.14.09.

    thanks for your assistance.

    Hi @shaggy85

I hope you are doing well.

    I see the issue here.

We will reply in the https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/problem-to-submit-paypal-payment-2/ as there are some troubleshooting already and mark this as resolved so we can keep on the other ticket the replies.

    Best Regards

    Even I have same problem.

I have 3 options. First with Paypal seems to work properly with sandbox.

In second option we have wire-transfer details and third is to decide later. In last two cases upon ‘Submit’ we are getting an error “Error! Something went wrong during checkout and payment couldn’t be approved.”

I wonder why should this error come for 2nd and 3rd option where there is no PayPal payment integration?

    How to solve this issue?
