My WordPress version is 6.4.3. Many times, when I update a plugin it causes an error and I have to deactivate it in recovery mode for my website to work. However, that is not the solution, since certain plugins are very important on my site. In this case, I have updated Contact Form 7 to the most recent version and I have received an email with problems on my site due to this update. I have disabled it in recovery mode. Now I can’t activate it because I get a message that says: “The plugin could not be activated because it caused a fatal error”. I need to activate this plugin because I have several forms on my website that are important and to understand what I have to do next time to fix this error and be able to use the new version without problems.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    What was the error message?

What happens if you delete the plugin files using FTP or File Manager and re-install the plugin?

What happens if you re-install the previous version of the plugin?

Good morning. Finally a new update has been released and so far it hasn’t given me any errors again.

Thank you very much for answering!
