Problem uploading custom header

  • I’ve tried uploading a custom header in several different themes, but each time, WP seems to upload the image and then displays a blank screen. The new image appears in a folder but not in the images folder for the theme I want to use. When I move the image to the proper folder and rename it “header” it still does not appear.

    I’ve tried this with full size photos and with photos cropped to the proper size. Any ideas how to make this work properly?

  • Check your uploads path in Settings/Media.

    I’m trying to upload a custom header and get one of the two following messages:

    Warning: imagecreatefromstring() [function.imagecreatefromstring]: Data is not in a recognized format in /hermes/web09d/b2915/moo.redkitebakerycom/wp-includes/media.php on line 254

    Image could not be processed. Please go back and try again.

    or

    Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.

    I tried saving the header in various different files on my computer, but none of them will upload.

    Any suggestions?
