problem uploading file attachment

  • Hi,

    I read the article on how to insert files into a page. I followed this through (linked my file as ‘link to file’ in the ‘popup’ menu), and now that I’ve published this page I do see a little link at the top with my filename there.

    When I try to click the link I get redirected to:

    my_site/wp-admin/sampleproject.txt

    however this is just a 404 error page. What step did I miss?

  • Please take a look at the /wp-content/uploads/2007/01/ subdirectory (I think that’s right) and see if the file is in there. You may have to just reedit the link.
