    Hi,

    Apologies if I’m being stupid!

I’d like to add Google Earth .kml to the media library to allow them to be downloaded via one of my pages.

I’ve installed and activated the plugin, ticked the kml box, logged out and back in but when I try to upload I still get a not allowed error?

Am I doing something wrong, or have I missed something?

    Thanks,

    Tony

Hi, could you take a screenshot of the “configuration page” where you added the extension ?

Which “mime type” have you used for .kml? The right one should be application/vnd.google-earth.kml+xml

    Hi,

I clicked the Google Earth – KML box on the Extra File Types page.

Not sure how to send you a screen shot through here, sorry, do you have an email address?

I didn’t notice anything about MIME types? Not sure what that is.

    Thanks,

    Tony

Same issue here with kml and gpx too. They were already in the list so I just clicked them and save.

Before the plugin it was refused for security reasons, now it says http error.

the problem is related to the output of finfo_* functions, used by WordPress, being sometome different from real mimetypes …

i just released version 0.3.6 of the plugin which add a new “parameter” (Check only file extensions) in the settings page, you have to “enable” it.

Let me know if this fix the problem

Thanks for your help, but I’ve deleted the plugin now as I needed a solution fairly quickly. Good to know it’s fixed!

    Had the same problem.
    Now fixed by 0.3.6 !
    Thanks a lot !

    Hi,

I am using version 0.4.0 and am getting “Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons.” when I try to upload .kml files. I double checked under settings and have checked both .kml and .kmz file types. Are there any glaring things I have missed?

    Thanks for any help.
