Problem uploading photos

Have a new install and when I try to upload images I am getting the following error. I did a search and noticed suggestions to chmod 777 on the wp-content. I did that and that did not fix the problem. I have searched online and the forum and cannot find any other solutions. Does anyone have any thoughts?

The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/mynewurl.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads.
