Problem, uploading, sort by date

  • Hi everyone, I start my WP 2008 AUG, in the Miscellaneous I have set my uploading files sorted by date, everything goes fine till now. Its 2009 now, I have my 2009 and sub folder ready for uploading, but the uploading function seems trying to upload to JULY 2008( which I didnt create any folder before AUG).

    The upload works when I created a JULY folder in 2008 and set its permission.

    anyone can help me?

  • You shouldn’t have to create the folders manually if you have Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders checked in Administration > Settings > Miscellaneous.

    Also make sure your Store uploads in this folder is correct–I have wp-content/uploads and have nothing in Full URL path to files (optional).

    I have upload problem when I first start my wp site, I thought I solved the problem by creating another uploads folder outside the wp-content folder since the default location doesnt work. is it because I install in the wrong place? My wp-content folder is right under the httpdocs folder.

    If you are using your ‘own’ structure for upload folders I don’t believe WordPress will know how to use that unless you keep changing the Store uploads in this folder each month.
