Problem: Using Category Base in Permalinks

Hi all,

I’d like to setup my Permalinks like this…

/words/%category%/%postname%/

…and I’d like my Category Base set to…

/words

The Permalink structure works great if I leave the Category Case blank, but once I put /words in the Category Base, the permalink URLs are still alright, but I get 404 errors on the pages. The category URLs work fine though.

Note that this appears to be happening because I have the /words bit in both the Category Base and Permalink Structure — If I switch the Category Base to something else, /words2 say, everything works fine (no broken links), but then I don’t appear to have everything blog related contained within a ‘words’ directory.

Any ideas how I can get this to all work together?
