Problem viewing pages on localhost test site

  • Hi –

    I am updating a theme which I copied over from the live site to localhost. I can view the main page, but when I try to view any of the other pages that are published I get this message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /Library/WebServer/Documents/wp-content/themes/new/sitemap.php on line 6

    Is it possible to view secondary pages on local host?

  • It should be. Have you tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    yes, same error message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /Library/WebServer/Documents/wp-content/themes/twentyeleven/single.php on line 10

    Try replacing all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
