Please re-save your settings. I’m not sure why you see both smtp mailer and Gmail-related debug output.

Which hosting are you using? What kind of caching is installed on a site? Object caching? Server-side one (like Opcache, Varnish etc)?

I saved the settings multiple times with the same result. Please bear with me I am faily new at this.

I am using go-daddy hosting for the website.

I do not believe i have any caching plugins on my site.

What type of GoDaddy account do you have? Is it ordinary one, or WordPress managed, or Pro WordPress managed?

Looking at the debug output – I’m sure that the issues was because some other SMTP-related plugin was activated.
Also on PHP 5.3.24 you won’t be able to use Gmail mailer at all, as it requires PHP 5.5+.
