Hi, I have just finished reading your articles to try to understand what the problem is. For a few days I have activated AdSense Auto ads, but they do not appear on my site. I took your advice to create a new ad unit for testing.
When I selected AdSense as my ad type, I got this error: invalid response received while renewing access token for “pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx” You may try to connect again in Advanced Ads> Settings> AdSense.
Not quite understanding what to do, I changed the ad type to Dummy and the ad appeared on my site.
So I have a problem with AdSense and my account. Maybe there are too few articles on my site? Or maybe the cause is the Adsterra advertisements? Yes, I activated those before even AdSense. It was 4 per page, but while reducing the number to one ad per page, the problem with AdSense remains. Do you have any advice for me?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi teokles,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Can you please navigate to Advanced Ads > Settings > AdSense and revoke the API connection with your AdSense account? Afterward, you will see a button to connect again with your AdSense account. This should fix the error message.

The Auto Ads code is correctly injected.

    • Is your site marked as “Ready” in your AdSense account > Sites?
    • Are Auto ads enabled in your AdSense account > Ads > Auto ads?
    • I have also noticed another problem. When I scrolled through the page or clicked on internal links, I was redirected to external advertising pages several times. These were not advertisements.

I would definitely recommend using a security tool to check whether everything is okay with the code of your website or whether malware has possibly nested here.

      Best regards,
      Joachim

    Hi schmidt25,

I have revoked the API connection and the error message has been fixed, but still not seeing any ads ??

    – Is your site marked as “Ready” in your AdSense account > Sites? YES
    – Are Auto ads enabled in your AdSense account > Ads > Auto ads? YES

What is the problem, then? Few content on the site?

Thank you for pointing out the other problem as well, because I hadn’t noticed it.
I’m afraid that, until Google ads show up, I’ll have to keep the others active. Could you please indicate to me the security tool to try to solve this situation?

    Thanks again,
    Francesca

    Hi Francesca,

    Thanks for your reply.

I notice that you inject AdSense also manually in this ad units shows up. So there doesn’t seem to be a problem in general with your account.

What is the problem, then? Few content on the site?

This can be a reason. But when I browse through your website, Auto ads (Vignette & Anchor) already showed up. So it seems to slowly start working.

Could you please indicate to me the security tool to try to solve this situation?

You can find several malware and security scanners on www.ads-software.com. I like NinjaScanner.

    Hi Francesca,

Thanks for your reply. Please, don’t give up ??

Take a look at my screenshot to see an anchor ad on your website.

I am sure that you will also notice recorded impressions for the auto ads if you check the AdSense statistics in your account.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

    Dear Joachim,

I really appreciate your kindness and patience ?? .
You are right. I have checked and there are some impressions, but the question remains: why do I not see the ads, even using incognito browsing?

Meanwhile NinjaScanner doesn’t work ?? . The reason could be that I’ve been hacked ?? . One of them suggested to re-install my WordPress version but .. Guess what? I can’t do this, because there seems to be an error with the authenticity of the WordPress zip file, which cannot be verified as no signature was found.
Which signature ??? I’m going crazy and have a headache for days, because I’m spending a lot of time reading and translating pages in English to try to solve my problems ??

    Hi Francesca,

    Thanks for your reply.

why do I not see the ads, even using incognito browsing?

It is solely AdSense’s decision where and on which page how many ads are shown. The only reason I can think of why only anchor and vignette ads are shown is that you have disabled in-page ads in the auto ads settings in your AdSense account.

Otherwise, you do not influence the auto ads and can’t force their display. If this problem persists, I would add more ads manually.

Unfortunately, I can’t help you with NinjaScanner and security. You have already mentioned that these ads, which I thought were malware, were integrated deliberately.

If the NinjaScanner does not work correctly for you, I would test another security plugin. If you have questions about this, the right place for this is the support forum of the respective plugin.

    Best regards,
    Joachim
