• Hi,
I’m new to wordpress. I’m an Apple user and when I go to “Appearance” > “Editor” to edit index.php I receive the following:

    “com.apple.quarantineq/0000;4b8e2589;Safari;|com.apple.Safari”

Curiously I receive a similar message when logging in on Firefox and Internet Explorer on a Windows PC.

This happens with two of the themes I’ve tried on my site.

    Any solutions would be appreciated.

    Tom

  • In 10.5 when something is downloaded to your Download folder a quarantine attribute is put on the file until it’s opened. Problem is it doesn’t work all the time. When you move your site to your server it will cause you that error. You can use xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine ./* to remove the attributes, re-upload your site to your server, and things should work.
