    Hello there,

We discover some kind of incompatibility with autoptimize and wpc-badge-management. We tested all posible solutions and disabling the plugin is the best but we can’t do that.

We tried aswell adding exclude the plugin path and it’s not working. The problem is that autoptimize is causing a conflict with the images on related products on the bottom of the product page ( they are not fully visible ). when the dimension is lower than 360px

To get a better idea i’ll attach some screenshots.

lots of moving parts there ??

    some questions to get started:
    * is lazyload (or image optimization) active in Autoptimize? if yes, does it work with lazyload disabled?
    * I see you’re using “shortpixel adaptive images” (it’s great), does the problem remain with SPAI disabled?
    * does it work with JS optimization disabled?
    * does it work with CSS optimization disabled?

    Hello Frank,

Thank you for your answer and sorry for the delay. I’ll answer all the questions in the same order.

    • Lazyload in AO is active and its not working if disabled.
    • When SPAI disabled the error is still there.
    • JS optimization disabled = error still there.
    • CSS optimization = error still there.

I’m trying to add to exclution list the plugin = wpc-badge-management but seems i’m doing something wrong because i can’t do it.

The mistery of this issue is that it works all good but in less than 360px the error it’s caused because of AO + wpc-badge-management as the theme developer told us.

do you have a staging site where you could leave things broken for a while?

    Hello Frank,

Due to expensive host we can’t afford right now a staging site. We do all changes in live production ( i know it’s bad but sadly it’s all we have ).

that’s a pity .. bit of a mystery that the images go missing even if CSS & JS & lazyload are off. can you try disabling HTML optimization and any other option that you might have currently enabled in AO (and don’t forget to clear any page cache you or your host might have after every change)?

    Thread Starter sandrorey0101

    (@sandrorey0101)

Done i tried HTML optimization and it’s all the same, not working. The problem is that the images are not missing they are just resizing smaller in 360px sizes or lower ( as you can see in the first screenshots ).

If i disable AO or wpc-badge-management ( one of them ) all works like a charm but if both are activated error appears inediatly. That’s the strange part for me Frank. That’s why i want to test to add in exclusion the wpc-badge-management plugin to see if there is any change or not.

    Thank you once again Frank.

if disabling CSS or JS optimization don’t help, then exclusions will not help either.

if all optimizations are off in AO, then AO does not make any change to the site any more, so it the problem persists with AO on but all optimizations off, then the only logical conclusion would be that wpc-badge-management detects AO being active and at that point changes behavior?

”?wpc-badge-management detects AO being active and at that point changes behavior?” yes i think the same. this is the point when the error starts appearing on the site.

I’ve contacted WPC badge authors for more information. For now i guess so… there is nothing else i can do to fix it right, cuz if i’ve to choose between the wpc badge and your plugin the answer is clear , it’s AO my site can’t work without AO, this plugin is the best by far. But you know i want to know why there is a conflict.

    Hello Frank,

I’m glad to say that the plugin author fix the code. It was a css issue between theme + ao settings + badge plugin.

The author provide to us the css code so now it’s all working as a charm. Thank you for your interest and help, and thank you for made such a usefull and awesome plugin.
