Problem with basic settings: margin and padding
-
Hi.
First of all, sorry for my bad English, but I hope I can make you understand.I was trying to use Gutenberg over other known and paid editors or even addons for Gutenberg.
My main goal is to use only standard Gutenberg blocks (with any theme I want) to make faster sites (with less plugins as I can). But I feel I can’t do some basic settings on blocks, like adding margin and padding. These options simple don’t exists. It’s quite a big issue if you like to do stuff easily and fast, without adding classes and code to theme.
Looks like if I want to to use 20 blocks with 20 different configurations of margin and padding, I would have to use 20 different classes and so on.
For example, how can I make this simple task without coding: make this title (see print here) a little bit further from image and make the lower image a little bit upper so it can partially cover the other image (like this print, which I easily made with Gutentor margin and padding options)? Looks like I can’t from side bar blocks options.
Another example (in this other print) I want to have text like 30px down to have a little distance from image above. I can’t do that without code or without adding a third element (like spacer).
That is scary for me, I use margin and padding all the time for many reasons. So, I’m obligated to install a plugin which have natively much options for all blocks, like Gutentor, Qubely, Kadence Blocks, Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg or any other, otherwise I would have to spend lots of time coding CSS, or using paid stuff (which I really don’t want)
There’s other issues like adding margin/padding to columns and not blocks itself.
Will Gutenberg have in any edition basic options like those I said (margin and padding)? Or there’s a “hidden way” to do that and I don’t know how to access it? I would like to do it without using another plugin.
