Problem with Beaver Builder’s css file after theme’s styles

  • Hello,

    BB Layout (Page) CSS appears before the styles at least in some themes (ex. Byline theme).

    I’ve made small changes in class-fl-builder.php and it works fine with Byline theme:

    $deps = apply_filters( 'fl_builder_layout_style_dependencies', array('byline-stylesheet') );

    I would appreciate some general solution for any theme.

    Hey Andrey,

    Thanks for posting!

    Unfortunately, there’s really no way to know where or when a theme loads its own stylesheet, and what handle it’s using. Are you having issues adding custom CSS? I’d suggest just making them more specific so they override the theme’s. ??

    I use theme’s and BB’s standard styles.
    Just an idea – maybe it’s possible to add the BB’s CSS as the last one without refering to theme’s handle…

    Hello Beaver Builder . OK Lets see. Where to begin I built a website from Tyler Moore who has a wordpress site called Tesseract. They were using at the time when I built the site site origin instead of Beaverbuilder which is what I built the site with. However there was a problem and when Hostgator my Hosting company made the switch on their system I lost part of the Site. They helped me get back most of it. But I still cannot get my home page cover photo and the Facebook,Twitter,Linkedin icons to show. Since they made the switch that is the problem. I will give you my wordpress backoffice username and password if you can help me out. My Mother passed away and with the Holidays I threw in the towel even though the site was basically done. The homepage cover photo is 2 women one as a care giver helping an elderly women.

    Hey @andr2,

    Thanks for the suggestion! We wanted to load our page builder’s stylesheet last so the site inherits the theme’s styling as much as possible. Our thinking is that the theme should control the overall layout of the site, not a plugin.

    It looks like the issue there is that your site is still retrieving some data from the old URL which is no longer available. Can you shoot us a note via hello [at] wpbeaverbuilder [dot] com and we’ll take it from there? ??
