Ok I’m looking at the patch but I can’t figure out where or how to apply it. Forgive me for not being that adept at patching.

Would it be possible to get a bit more detailed instructions on how to apply this patch.

Thank you very much donmik ??

    Thanks a lot @donmik and @djpaul!

@MrsAngelID download this file and replace it in your /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-xprofile folder

This replaces the files bp-xprofile-classes.php and bp-xprofile-functions.php.

@donmik I just have a doubt about this tests/testcases/xprofile/class-bp-xprofile-field-type.php. Where is it suppossed to be?

@andres thank you for the files I have done what you said. While there is no longer a double field the entered information doesn’t save.

I enter a birthday and his save I receive this error

“There was a problem updating some of your profile information, please try again.”

Hi @MrsAngelID I think this is about what I asked to @donmik.

@donmik I just have a doubt about this tests/testcases/xprofile/class-bp-xprofile-field-type.php. Where is it suppossed to be?

And I can’t find that file.

Ok, looks like i figured out how to do it:

Disclaimer: I did it and it worked for me but I’m not sure if this is the best way to do it.

Download this file and extract it in your /wp-content/plugins/buddypress folder. I downloaded and modified the neccesary files from https://github.com/buddypress/BuddyPress.

I’ll be waiting for a reply to know if this is the best (or ar least a good) way to apply the patch.

Hi again Andres, just want to clarify, So I put the tests folder inside the buddypress folder?

    Thread Starter Andres Felipe

    (@naturalworldstm)

Yes just that, I already modified the necessary file.

Ok here’s what I did. I downloaded the test files and placed it in my buddypress folder. I still received the error. so I restored the orginal buddypress files in xprofile and the data saves but incorrectly.

for example I pick the month november, but when viewing the profile it shows may.

In my site now is working ok, but just for the record You need to extract the folder inside de BuddyPress folder, not the files inside the folder. Did You do it that way? Please look at the github structure here it should be looking like that.

yes I did put them in proper location, it’s odd because this is a fresh website. I haven’t done anything besides install wordpress with buddypress & Buddypress Xprofile Custom Fields Type

Well, I think we need to wait for @donmik

I agree, but thank you very much for all your help Andres ??
