Can you try using only one category per event? As CSS cascades, the last set of CSS rules will apply. The event I see that is tagged Ajo is also tagged Music. I think the settings on Music are overriding those for Ajo.

Unfortunately, blended coloring based upon more than one category selection/assignment is not possible.

yes, thanks. I realize that more than one category would confuse two different colors. Bit is that what the BORDER is suppose to look like or is it suppose to be a border AROUND the box? Thanks

It’s only a left edge border.

oh.. ok..I would have called that a line or separator. I thought it surrounded the box. Thanks for your help. Great Plugin. I will finish setup in the next few days.
Another thought on the entry above about color. if it cascades and the last one is set, all I would need to do it get the ones that I want to be applied to the bottom, right? Perhaps numbering them, instead of Alpha order. Wonder how SubCategories would work. Geography being one and Venue type being the other. Thoughts?

The ability to assign more than one category and to assign subcategories is an ability of TEC that ends up being far beyond the scope of my simple single category coloring plugin.

I don’t recall what will happen when subcategories are applied. It won’t hurt anything, you just might not get the results you expect.

If subcategories don’t actually show up within the settings page, you might consider basing your categories on location and then also assign distinct subcategories. I am limited to the manner in which TEC assigned classes to the events. If that works then the coloring would be location specific and you would still have searching capabilities for subcategories.
