Problem with categories’ slugs

    I’m currently using Polylang and Elementor for my WordPress site.

    I have been trying to edit the slug within categories, but all categories seem to generate a URL where the language code is directly integrated to the category in the following manner: https://www.site.com/en-category.

    My desired URL  structure would be to have the language code in separate subdirectory as per the following example: https://www.site.com/en/category.

    I tried to adjust the settings for the URLs , but none of the options seem to address the problem for categories. Is there a way to make these adjustments?
