Problem with characters between PayPal and Simple Cart

  • Hello,

    I have a problem with customer info given in PayPal. If customer’s name or address contains characters ?, ü, ?, ? etc. the said name or address does not appear in Simple Cart orders inside WordPress. Any ideas?

    Ps. This is not a critical problem as PayPal also sends emails that contain all of the info correctly.

    Please enable the UTF-8 character encoding in your PayPal account.

    You can enable UTF-8 formatting in your PayPal profile using the following steps:

    – Log into your PayPal account
    – Go to your profile
    – Look for the “PayPal button language encoding” section under the My selling tools
    – Make sure your website language is set to the correct language
    – Click the more options button
    – Make sure encoding is set to UTF-8.
    – Then save settings

    Hello and sorry for the delay. No resolution yet. Unfortunately there is no such thing as “My selling tools” nor the “PayPal button language encoding” section in my PayPal… And I have a business account.

    Hi, speak to PayPal support. There must be an explanation why you don’t see those settings with a Business account. I am also curios myself.
