Problem with comment pre approval

    Hi guys,

    Just started using wordpress and think its great so far but I am having a little bit of an issue with comment pre approval.

    I have disabled anonymous comment posting so that the person must be logged in to comment. Thats fine, all works great.

    The problem is with the comment pre approval. I cant seem to force it to queue comments for moderation before they appear on the site. I created a user with a role of ‘contributor’ but have tried most other types with no success.

    The box for ‘An administrator must always approve the comment ‘ is ticked but the comments are still appearing.

    I am running this on localhost and didnt have any issues on the install as far as I know.

    Any ideas, some help on this would be great as it is doing my head in. Thanks.

    False alarm, found out that when I was messing about with posts I posted the problem post with the comment account making that the ‘admin’ for that post thus negating the pre-approbval.
