Hi there, I want to migrate my current website to Neve theme, using the Original Starter Site. However, the CSS generation is not working properly. I am currently trying Neve in a “staging” clone of the main current website in the provided link. The first time I import the Original starter site and visit the page, everything shows fine. But in a refresh, CSS is gone and content is garbled. I see that in the first visit the CSS is included in a style tag in the page itself, but in subsequent visits it includes CSS from URL like: …/uploads/themeisle-gutenberg/post-v2-….css The problem is that content is not being imported to the uploads folder. I made a fresh WP install with Softaculous/cpanel in the same domain as the provided link but at folder wp99 (instead of wp50) and this problem does not occur. A folder “uploads” is created with permissions 777 and all content of the Original starter site is imported there and the post-v2-css is always generated fine. I check the permissions in the folder wp50 and even changed the uploads folder permissions to 777 but still the CSS is not generated. Do you have any clue on how I might solve this issue? I’ve seen in the Forum similar issue due to SSL, but that is covered already, all links/addresses are https. Thanks and kind regards, David

    Hey @davidaveiro,

It might be something to do with the instance being used from a subfolder. Would it be possible for you to contact me at [email protected] so we could take a deeper look into this issue?

    Thank you!

@hardeepasrani, thanks for your help and finding the “strange different upload folder”; googling a bit I found an apparently “ancient WordPress configuration setting”:

After I put that field “blank” and saved the setting, the problem was, not only solved, but that setting option disappeared all together from the dashboard. So it seems this was an ancient WordPress setting that has since been dropped and was causing this issue. So if anyone has identical problem as me in an old WordPress installation (my first install was in year 2007) one just needs to put that custom upload field blank and save settings.

    Thank you!!

PS: for safety, it might be worthwhile to adapt the plugin to consider this custom upload folder setting possibility

    Hey @davidaveiro,

Glad to know that. We will look into it and see how we can adapt to it. ??
