Problem with database connection

  • So I got problem.

    I tried to move my wordpress for a new hosting.

    I have one hosting and I am using database from another (old database from old hosting which should work) but when I configure my database with wp-config.php it says “Error establishing a database connection” when actually it is working (my database). Anyone know the solution?

    Why are you trying to access the MYSQL information_schema?

    I have exported my both databases. Saved as file without compression so it’s like “database.sql”. When I save it with .zip it’s like “database.sql.zip” but I am getting error at first line and theres more html/javascript so it seems worthless.

    Thought there is everything about wordpress I mean posts, pages, plugins.

    @@edit. Okey I unchecked schema and just left main database. Same effect.

    I think you need to read up on how to import an .sql file into a nominated database. Also check that your user has full access privileges.
