    Hi Christian,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The reason for this is that the TablePress JS code on the frontend does not recognize this locale. I recommend using https://tablepress.org/extensions/change-datatables-strings/ for this.
Just copy the lang-de_DE.json file to a new lang-de_DE_formal.json file and everything should work.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
the extension isn’t neccessary as I don’t want to change a string.
I just had to copy the lang-de_DE.json file you mentioned in …/tablepress/i18n Folder, rename the copy to lang-de_DE_formal.json and everything is fine.
    Thanks for your quick help.

    Hi Christian,

correct, the Extension is not necessary for changing strings here. It’s however the best way to make sure that your change survives an update of TablePress.
By just placing the lang-de_DE_formal.json in the main TablePress directory, it will be gone again after you update TablePress (due to how updates in WordPress work).
Regardless, good to hear that this worked so easily ??

    Regards,
    Tobias
