I’m using a plugin called Modern Event Calendar Lite, which adds a widget area for its event pages. It adds its widget area to the top of the widget area list, so if I set my single posts to the “default” sidebar setting in the Pinnacle theme options, they are defaulting to the Modern Event sidebar instead of Pinnacle’s Primary sidebar.

So it seems that Pinnacle’s “default setting” uses the top sidebar in the list, rather than specifically the Primary sidebar. Is there a way to fix this so that all single posts default to the Primary sidebar, wherever it appears in the list? Better yet, adding a way to select which sidebar the single post pages default to would solve the problem.

I can change the sidebar in the individual post settings, but it’s not practical to have to do that every single time I make a new post. I realize that this is a plugin compatibility issue, but I’m sure there are other plugins that add widget areas and might cause the same issue, so it seems like a good idea to fix this on your end if possible.

    Hi,
I updated pinnacle with a default option that will always stay at the top so when you create a new post it will be what gets saved by default.

    Fantastic! That did the trick.

This is why Kadence is my go-to theme developer, and Pinnacle is my go-to theme. Excellent work as always!
