• I have two websites through WordPress (not intentionally). Humblewinesnob.com and lehighvalleywinelife.com. I recently created the domain name lehighvalleywinelife.com and intended it to take over humblewinesnob.com, but I don’t know how to do that and get rid of the two different websites. I don’t know how to fix this!

  • I would suggest contacting your hosting company where you have your site hosting and domain names registered.

They should be able to help you with this.

    Hello hazelorbs!

I want to make sure your situation can be completely understood. Are you wanting the website you setup for humblewinesnob.com to use lehighvalleywinelife.com instead of humblewinesnob.com? If yes, then you should be able to change the domain for your WordPress website through your admin dashboard. The Codex has a page on how to do this:

    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL

You may need to add lehighvalleywinelife.com into your hosting account’s administration panel to use the same folder as humblewinesnob.com before you can use lehighvalleywinelife.com.

If you are trying to merge the two websites together, that will likely be more difficult.

    Hi Jadon,

So somehow between WordPresss and BlueHost my website got royally screwed up and no one can seem to fix it. Very frustrating as I paid for a Guided Transfer (over $300!) to set up the new domain name, etc. Instead, it mixed up the old site and the new site and nothing worked. Same with BlueHost. They did something with the domain names that screwed them up. Basically, I had to delete all sites and start from scratch again. I’m so frustrated, but I didn’t know what else to do.

It would be extremely difficult to talk you through a fix on a forum like this – it would probably end up taking days.
I think it would be best to google “wordpress developer” and find a local dev to help – I’m sure they could fix it in 1-2 hours max with full access to the account.
