    Hello

Each time I click on the Download in orders page, I receive a message “you will receive your file via email shortly” but I received nothing!

  • The same is happen to me.
Do I have to be the WordPress administrator or it sufficient the store manager role?
    Thank you.

Same issue for me, even for Revenues exports.
I can’t figure out how to solve it. The action goes timeout after 300 seconds and the email never trigger (checked with WP Mail Log)

    Thanks for the screenshot @gguidi.

@marcie73 and @lubor93, do you see the same failed scheduled actions as @gguidi posted? You can check this by going to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions > Failed in your site dashboard. You’re looking for any actions that have the hook woocommerce_admin_report_export. Thanks!

    Hi!
Nope, I can only see the completed actions.
the strange thing is that if I export the days with few orders, the file downloads it, but if I export the days with many orders the file is not downloaded and I receive a message “you will receive your file via email shortly”.

Thanks for the update @lubor93. Yes, the system will email reports if they are above a certain size. Can you install the WP Mail Logging plugin and try again? The mail log will show if your site at least *attempted* to send the email.

@gguidi do you have any errors in your fatal error logs that correspond to when you tried to get the report? You can check this in WooCommerce > Status > Logs. Find the fatal error log for the correct day and then try to match up the time. Also note that the error logs are in GMT time, not your site’s local time.

    Thanks!

    Hi @apmwebdev

    No fatal errors on logs.
I add one thing: yesterday i updated woocommerce to the new version, when i navigated to woocommerce admin panel it notified me that woocommerce admin is outdated and suggested to proceed to deactivate it and use the woocommerce embedded functionality.

I proceed and now the dashboard is not loading at all ??

Is woocommerce admin going to be terminated?

Hi @gguidi. The WooCommerce Admin plugin was rolled into WooCommerce Core. I’m not sure exactly what the plans are for it. There is a standalone Blocks plugin even though there are blocks in WC Core, for example, and the standalone plugin has upcoming features in it.

When you say your dashboard isn’t loading at all, what do you mean, exactly? Can you post a screenshot of what you see?

Hi @gguidi. It looks like the dashboard not loading correctly is caused by a recent bug that is causing WC Admin to create its files with a) very long file names, and b) file names that include the tilde (~) character. These two things are causing the files to not be loaded by many hosting environments, which, in turn, is causing the dashboard to not load correctly. We are working on a fix for this. You can see the issue here.

I’ve also got an issue with these reports. I see the “you will receive your file via email shortly” message, but never receive the email.
Looking in /wp-content/uploads, I can see that the file is created (which is great), but my users don’t have access to this folder.
WP Mail Log shows that no email has been sent (all other emails are there).
Scheduled Actions shows that both woocommerce_admin_report_export and woocommerce_admin_email_report_download_link have completed.

Hi @bwstu. Were you using the new version of the standalone WC Admin plugin when you attempted this? If not, I would install that first and try again.

Oddly, we upgraded to a new server (for other reasons) and it started working. Not much help as to the root cause but it’s going ok here.

Hi @bwstu. The issue is due to the files that the plugin creates running into common server limitations on file names, so it’s possible that the new server is more lax with these limitations.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
