    Hi,
I have an unusual problem with CF7 and I was wondering if you could give me help: I created a mixed form, containing both simple text fields and drop-down menus. Some fields are mandatory, others are not.

Testing the form I realized that unless all the fields are filled out the form does not work: no errors are reported, does not indicate the required fields, the email is not sent and no message is sent back all user, neither positive nor negative. Simply you stay in the same position on the page and nothing seems to happen.

If you fill all the data, the form works correctly.

I have other forms on the same site and the problem is limited to those with drop-down menus within them.

Do you have any idea what the cause of the problem might be?

Where can we see the website?

Hi, sorry for the late in response, I’m in Italy so I suppose we are in different time zone.

    The site is https://seritetichette.com/.

The forms are present almost in every page. The ones with no drop-down menus works perfectly, but the ones with drop-downs menus don’t work unless the user fill in every fields. One for example is the one in this page:

    https://seritetichette.com/etichette-per-il-settore-industriale/

The strange thing is that only some fields are mandatory and also there is non message feedback for the user no positive and no negative messages, nothing happen. I have tried with different browsers and there are no difference.

I have no idea what problem could it be.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Seemingly the site has multiple problems. First, the HTTP server responses with “403 Forbidden”. Maybe one of the plugins you use makes a restriction to use of WP REST API. Second, the theme or plugins related to the theme is improperly interfering the contact form. In any case, you should once try deactivating all other plugins and switching to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen or Twenty Nineteen). If the issue disappears, re-activate them one by one to find culprits.

Thanks for the reply, I followed your instructions and deactivated all the plug-ins and the problem remain. My theme is Avada. How can I proceed to solve the problem? If all fields (mandatory or not) are not filled in, the form does not work, no feedback, neither positive nor negative. If instead the form is completely filled in (even if not all the fields are mandatory) it works perfectly.
Thank you in advance for your help.

If the theme was the problem, unfortunately there is nothing we can help with resolving it here because it is a commercial product. The best place to handle the issue would be the theme’s official support channel.

    Thank you for the response,
I will check with the theme support.

    Best Regards,
    Sara
