Problem with either ie8 or very wide screens

I am using the Meta Slider version 3.2 with the 2.5.1 pro addon pack. The theme I am using is Vantage Pro from SiteOrigin. My website can be seen at atlcrashpad.com. It looks fine on chrome, on safari, on firefox, on ie10 and ie11. But on ie8 it messes up big time. The image crops on the sides, sort of looks like the image is on repeat in a carousel fashion, but it also looks like the image is stacked on top of itself as well, making a weird mirror kind of border.The computer used to test the site on ie8 has a very large screen. Which wasn’t a problem on chrome, but was on internet explorer. That leads me to believe that the problem was ie8 – can anyone confirm that I am correct in believing that?
How can I fix this so that it looks good on ie8? Thanks in advance for advice!
