Problem with excerpts

Hi,

I have a problem with the excerpt and how it is displayed in the search results. Currently each of my posts starts with a table. However, in the excerpt the text from the table is visible but not the table. I tried to add excerpts manually but it seems that the newsmag theme ignores it and still generate the excerpt automatically.

I am looking for a way to change to be able to add the excerpt manually.
