• Hello WP Forums!

I recently got hacked by SecurityBus. When they hacked me, they changed all of my home pages to “You have been hacked by security bus”.

I logged into my FTP account and checked the domain directories. All they did was replace my index.html files with their own, or add an index.php. So it seemed to be an easy fix.

Another thing they did was change my favicon to a skull, so there is a skull as the website icon when I pull it up in the browser. they did this by adding “favicon.gif” and “favicon.jpg” to my domain directories.

I deleted these files and some of them got fixed, but I am still having trouble with a few of them….

    For example https://www.homesteadmodification.com/

Do you see the skull for the favicon?

How do I fix it? Doesn’t look very professional for a Law Office – LOL

    =D

    Thanks!

  • I don’t see any favicon. Favicons are cached by the browser and changes can sometimes take a while to show. Try visiting your site in other browsers/computers.
