• Hello,

a friend of mine ask me for help, because he is using this plugin and suddenly the German translation in the backend was gone.

I tried to check that, and I found the German translation file pr-shipping-dhl-de_DE.mo , but Loco is not able link up with this file.

Would you please so kind to check that or help me? Thank you.

    Best,

    Ralf

I would suggest reinstalling the plugin.

Thank you, but I did it twice yesterday.

Loco still reports, that it hasn′t found a Translation for dhl for Woocommerce.

    Any further ideas?

I translate this module (and others) quite easily with Poedit. This software is free, you can download it from official website https://poedit.net/. After installation, download the file /wp-content/plugins/dhl-for-woocommerce/lang/pr-shipping-dhl-de_DE.po, open it with poedit, translate what you want and save. You will get 2 files: pr-shipping-dhl-de_DE.po and pr-shipping-dhl-de_DE.mo. Upload this files to your server.

    Hello Ascket,

I found the mistake you did.

In your German language package you use formal translations like “Sie”, but the file name de_DE.po is only correct for the unformal language package. That was the reason, why my wordpress couldn′t find a German language package in your plugin.

You need to name the file f. e. …_de_DE_formal.po and than I will work.

Are you able to rename the file and make it work then?

Yes, but newertheless if you don′t change it the next update will overwrite the name back in the wrong variante.
