    Hello,

if i use adress with german umlauts “Mühlenstrasse” (street) then the embedded map shows wrong. But if i use in adress “Muehlenstrasse” this works!

The Google-link for using new windows will work fine.

May there is any solution for further update to correkt umlauts like “german umlauts” for slugs?

Until this, i try to solved at this:
In adress using no umlauts, put Muehlenstrasse. And i use the Plugin “Realtime Search & Replace” to correct the display at frontend for some words.
But it change also the data for the map ??

    Regards,
    Henry

Thanks for posting. If I do a venue with the following address:
    Address: Mühlenstra?e
    Country: Germany

I am noticing differences. How odd. If I do this they still remain different:
    Address: Muehlenstrasse
    Country: Germany

Again, odd. The problem seems to disappear if you give Google a very specific address, especially with a zip code. But, that is still funky behavior. I have logged it as a bug. Sometimes our hands are tied since we rely on Google Maps API, but often times a setting or localization tweak somewhere in their API can solve quirky differences. Thanks for reporting this!

    Hello Brook,

i’ve figgured out, that even using regional specifics in Germany (Area-Description) seems to be difficult.
Example: Some small citys using one name and the real town-name follows by OT (Part of).

For this and other Reasons i’ll add some code for me to use coordinates only at special cases… adress codes for frontend but if y use coordinates in backend, those for using for maps.

May this will be one solution for others…
