    Hello everyone, i need your help.
    One month ago from my Google Search Console account all my sitemaps disappeared for unknown reason. Today i received a message from Google that my website has a problem with Breadcrumbs and i should define “name” or “item.name”. I took a look at the problem and it seems that there is something going on with Yoast. I am not an expert and i dont know exactly what.
    I looked at your link https://kb.yoast.com/kb/change-breadcrumb-title/#posts but it didn’t help me much because i am using your free version.
    Can you help me, please?
    Thank you very much.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    We understand that Google Search Console is reporting a warning saying that ‘either name or item.name should be specified’.

    The Yoast SEO plugin takes the name from the page name. In this case, it could be that the name is missing from your front page. Can you please check the page you’re using as your front page and make sure you’ve added a title to this page?

    If not, does adding the title resolve the issue?

    Hello Maybellyne, thank you for your response.

    Our website is a journalist blog. In all our posts we have the meta description and the page name. In pages of the blog like home, 1,2,3,4,5… (previous/next) i dont thing we have a page name. And that’s why in google search only in pages shows a text that we dont use any more. Where do we put the page title?

    Hello,

    We’ve checked with our developers and in-house SEO experts, and they’ve confirmed that this is not an actual error being reported by Google’s Rich Results and Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool.

    We’re aware of the reported errors you’re currently seeing in the Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs site audit due to the Yoast SEO schema markup for the breadcrumbs.

    Our development team is currently working on enhancing the breadcrumbs schema output to bring the relevant missing properties back. This fix will likely be available in the next update i.e. v16.6 update. Please also do refer to this article regarding the breadcrumb changes we made in v16.2 – https://yoast.com/help/breadcrumb-changes-yoast-seo-16-2/

    Hello, thank you so much for your response.

    As i understand i don’t have to do anything and i just wait for your next update, correct?

    And something else… in Search Appearance-Yoast SEO-Breadcrumbs, the breadcrumbs are disabled. Should i have them enabled or disabled?

    If you will like to use the Yoast breadcrumbs, you should keep the setting ON

    Hello Maybellyne, thank you for you help.

    Please help me in one last question.

    On April we lost the sitemaps from Search Console (still we dont know why). After that in google search in our domain, shows a text that no longer exist in our website. The text is “Στ?χο? του περιοδικο? ε?ναι η σωστ? ενημ?ρωση σε θ?ματα ψυχαγωγ?α? αλλ? και σε ελε?θερα θ?ματα που απασχολο?ν την καθημεριν?τητ? μα?.”

    We notice that text is in yoast and more specific in content= . Look the code below:

    <!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v16.5 - https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ -->
    	<title>UMANO.GR - ΠΕΡΙΟΔΙΚΟ ΠΕΡΙΟΡΙΣΜΕΝΗΣ ΕΥΘΥΝΗΣ</title>
    	<meta name="description" content="Στ?χο? του περιοδικο? ε?ναι η σωστ? ενημ?ρωση σε θ?ματα ψυχαγωγ?α? αλλ? και σε ελε?θερα θ?ματα που απασχολο?ν την καθημεριν?τητ? μα?." />
    		<!-- / Yoast SEO plugin. -->

    Do you know how can i correct and change that?
