Hey there,

We are using a custom google maps integration on our website which is embedded in a raw HTML module from the WP Bakery Page Builder. When turned on (Google Maps placeholder and blocker in your plugin) the integration is getting blocked, but no overlay is getting shown. Also the map only loads correctly when the specific page is visited with given consent. If it is visited without consent there’s a javascript error in the console (function not found; initialize is not a function).

Is it possible to add the overlay to the whole module, so that not only the map gets blocked and instead the whole module gets blocked? Maybe by using a snippet in functions.php or a mu-plugin?

Currently the Google Maps integration is turned off, so that our users can use the calculator and map. If you need more information or the integration temporarily enabled, tell me!

Hello @bytefight,

In the case of custom implementations of Google Maps, you will need a custom integration to block the scripts.

Preferably a MU plugin. This script is a blueprint for a custom implementation, so might need some tweaking.
