Problem With Huge-it Image Slider

Hi, can anyone please help me?. I am currently using the twenty fourteen child theme and I installed the Huge-it slider plugin to display some images directly below my header. I made up some test images 1260px x150px to go full screen width but when I set everything up, the images have shrunk and there is a huge gap between my header image and the slider. Also the Home page title shows up and I need to remove this as well. The slider functions ok but not full width.

What I would like is to have the slider full width directly below my menu bar at bottom of header without the home page title showing up, but having tried relentlessly going through the forums, I cannot figure it out.

Please can anyone kindly give me some guidance as to how to actually achieve this.
