problem with image upload

  • hello,
    i’ve just moved to wordpress from blogger and have unexpected image upload problem:
    when trying upload image, i’ve got this report (where … my account path in the erver)
    Unable to create directory …/wp-content/uploads/2006/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    what does it mean? anyone can help me?

  • guessing its something with permissions on the folders on the server. This can be fixed by using phpadmin if im not mistaken

    also i’ve tryed to install filosofo old-style update plugin, but received error message:
    It doesn’t look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (/usr/home/ramujana/public_html/wp-content) doesn’t appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.

    please help me!!
