• Hi there!

I am having a problem with my images in WP and I am completely lost.

When I insert a new post and I want to set a featured image to it the media gallery is not loading. The gray circle keeps spinning infinitely.

If I try to add an image from there I get an error: “There was an error with the upload. Please try again later”.
    Error
The thing is that even though that error appears, the image is still uploaded (I can see it at Media/Library but of course, as the gallery is not showing in the post page I can’t select it to be the featured image of the post).
    Uploaded
On the other hand, if I try to upload the image from Media/Add New it remains like this (“calculating”). Anyway, the image is uploaded. The big problem is what I’ve commented, that I am not able to see the gallery from the post page, so I can’t set any featured images to the post. I can’t understand neither why that error appears when trying to upload the image but stil the image is uploaded. I looked for the responde of async-upload.php in Developer Tools and it says success: true even if the error appears.
I have tried to change file permissions from FTP to 755 and 777 but that doesn’t seem to help. Also I have tried to deactivate plugins and activate them again but also didn’t fix the problem. Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

  • What version of WordPress are you using?
What image plugins are you using? (I saw Regenerate Thumbnails.)
Is your image extra large or named strangely?
Do you have other images already uploaded that should be showing?

    Thanks for answering @joyousli

    I’m using WP 4.9.5

I am using ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ 2.2.6

Images are ok, always same size, and the name was easy (“captura”). It was loading all the images before (and there were so many), everything was perfect. I don’t know what changed.
