Problem with inserting colors

When users use a color in the forums, this tends to happen
<c0l0r=#ffffff>Hello
becomes
#ffffff>Hello
It’s not actually doing anything with the colors.
I know it’s not c0l0r but instead color. This is just to prevent if there is one, a rich editor from trying to post it as a color.
