Problem with jetpack integration

  • Hi,

    I’m having real problems with jetpack integration. It looks all fine in draft with my galleries and then I go to publish and where I should have a gallery I have: “Jetpack’s Carousel has been disabled, because another plugin or your theme is overriding the [gallery] shortcode.” can anyone help?

  • Do you have any other gallery/image plugins installed? I haven’t had the problem using Jetpack’s Carousel on my test web site with Sugar & Spice. Can you please post a link to your site?

    It seems to say there is a problem when I am logged into wordpress and viewing the site – when I log out – so I see it as my readers do, it doesn’t say there is a problem however it doesn’t seem to show the kind of gallery I picked – for example with this post https://www.jamjargill.com/our-kitchen-all-the-updates-so-far-over-the-past-5-years/ I didn’t select the carasel style gallery when showing my old kitchen I selected the thumbnail view but still it comes up with the carasel when published – all very odd…. any help you can offer would be greatly received…

    Does your gallery shortcode look like this when you examine it in the Text editor:

    [gallery type="thumbnails" ids="454,452,451,755"]

    this is how it how it appears: [gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="822,824,825,821,826,827,828,829,830"]

    OK, if you add the type="thumbnails" then it should display as thumbnails instead of a carousel slider:

    [gallery type="thumbnails" columns="4" link="file" ids="822,824,825,821,826,827,828,829,830"]
