problem with language per user

  • hi,

    i have set user language to english on a site that i am one of the administrators for. the site language is dutch. everything appears as english as it should except when i go to edit a page. then “edit page” “new page” and “hello, username” are still in dutch even though all the other language is english. how can i fix this? originally i was using a plugin to change the language but not after the option became available in wordpress itself per user. see screenshots:

    i have tried switching themes and the problem still persists.

    If you are using non-localized plugins and themes, they can override WordPress strings and therefore appear in english.

    hi, i am not using a plugin for the language. the theme and plugins i am using are also english.

    the problem is that some of the text appears in dutch when it should appear in english.

    i can no longer edit the above comment because too much time has lapsed, but i also just discovered that the uploads section is also in dutch when it should be in english. see this screenshot: https://snipboard.io/TEaeSA.jpg
