• I’m with a clean WordPress install in a local environment with no plugins installed and GeneratePress theme active.

When I edit a page or a post the metabox panel is shown in the bottom of the editor as you can see in this screenshot:

If I clic on the up arrow on Layout panel on right sidebar then the Layout widget moves to the empty bottom metabox panel:

I have checked and if I disable the “Preferences > General > Advanced > Layout” setting then the bottom metabox panel disappears but then I can’t set the Layout widget.

I think it’s a bug that the bottom metabox panel open with no content.

If I enable GenerateBlocks plugin then the bottom metabox panel don’t appear by default.

I have Installed Polylang that add a new metabox for translations and a new option in Advanced section and I have the same issue than with the Layout metabox.

    Hi there,

If you drag the empty metabox to resize it like this, does it fix the issue?

Hi @yingscarlett, if I drag and resize it to the bottom, it keep the “slider” bar on the bottom.

Now I have checked with other theme and with plugins that add widgets to sidebar (Polylang) and the issue is still here, so maybe it’s not a GP problem.

But I have checked that this behavior that disappears If I activate the GaenerateBlocks plugin.

I don’t think it’s a big problem, I can replicate it on my end, as long as I drag the slider bar to the bottom, it stays there and does not affect me editing the page.

    Ok @yingscarlett thank you.

I have been some time off from editing in WordPress and I though it was a bug.

It might be a bug ?? But I don’t know if it’s a GP bug or WP bug.
