Problem with line breaks and other tags.. in comments

In our blog https://www.chrisvschris.com whenever someone comments on a post, and they use things like it carries over to the whole site.. and I have to removed the italics or bold from their comments…. also line breaks don’t seem to work.. anybody know why this might be happening?
