    Hi,

I have had the following problem since an update at the end of August:

I’m supposed to reconnect my Pinterest business account. I have 2 business profiles on Pinterest. Under “Link business account
Select the Pinterest business account you want to link” I am only shown one. And it’s the wrong company account.

Before the update, I was always linked to the correct company account.

I can rule out another plugin or the theme as the source of the error. I deactivated them all for testing. Logging in/logging out, a different browser and clearing the cache doesn’t help either. When linking, I still keep seeing the business ID of the wrong company account.

How can I link my correct company account?

    Hi @svenniliebt,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re having trouble linking your company account after an update to the Pinterest plugin.

Based on your description, it seems you’ve already tried some of the basic troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists.

In this case, could you please try rolling back the Pinterest plugin version to a previous version to see if you’re able to connect the correct company profile? This way, we’ll be able to know if truly the issue is related to the update.

You can rollback to a previous version with the help of a plugin like WP Rollback. Also, be sure to have a backup in please before rolling back your plugin.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

Thanks for your help. I have reset the Pinterest plugin. It does not work with version 1.4.8 and with version 1.4.7.

It works with 1.3.25. This connects my business account, which I am actively logged into. ?? This is the right one!

(Unfortunately I cannot select a version between 1.4.6 and 1.3.25 with the rollback plugin. The next one is already 1.3.25. Here is a screen https://svenniliebt.de/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/Screenshot-2024-09-11-194555.png )

Can the function be transferred to the current version of the plugin?

    Hi @svenniliebt,

Thank you for confirming that you’re able to connect your account with an older version.

Can the function be transferred to the current version of the plugin?

I’m afraid this cannot be transferred to the current version, as the current versions should be able to connect seamlessly to your business account.

As a next step, please try the following:

    1. Open a new private (incognito browser) and log into the business account you wish to have connected.
    2. Update your Pinterest for WooCommerce plugin to the latest version.
    3. Try following the steps to connect your Pinterest business account as detailed here.

Let us know if you’re able to connect your business profile when only having one account logged into.

    Hi,

I proceeded exactly as you described in the incognito browser.

Unfortunately it does not work. I can only select the wrong Pinterest Business account.

    Do you have any ideas?

    Hi @svenniliebt,

Unfortunately it does not work. I can only select the wrong Pinterest Business account.

Thank you for trying out the steps.

Have you already tried reaching out to the Pinterest support team to check on your account? If not, please try reaching out to them and let us know what they have to say about the account.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Hi,

I have received feedback from Pinterest Support. Everything is fine with my account, they say it’s the plugin and I should contact the manufacturer again.

Could it be because I am using a log-in for my Pinterest account, as both company accounts are linked on Pinterest?

When I log in to my Pinterest profile, I can access both company accounts (both IDs).

    Hello svenniliebt,

    Thank you for your reply.

To resolve this, please ensure that your website is claimed in the correct Pinterest Business account.
After logging into Pinterest, follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings in your Pinterest Business account.
    • Navigate to Claimed Accounts and check if the correct website is claimed there.
    • Please share a screenshot of this page so I can assist further.

    Hi @svenniliebt,

Thank you for the additional details. From your screenshots, I can see the correct business account has your website linked to it. However, on your website, you’re only seeing one account, and it’s the wrong one, correct?

As a quick test, have you tried unclaiming and re-claiming to see if this fixes it?

Alternatively, as I understand, this issue started for you after an update in late August; with this in mind, have you tried temporarily rolling back to 1.4.6 (released on August 13th) to see if it works properly? You can use a plugin like WP Rollback to do this.

    Please, let us know!

    Hi,

I was able to solve the problem. It was probably because I had linked two company profiles on Pinterest. I have now been able to unlink them.
I updated the plugin to the latest version and then connected it to Pinterest. It connected to the correct profile and the catalog transfer works again! Yeaaahh!!! :DThank you so much, I’m glad it’s working again. ??
