Say I have a membership that has an one time payment of $100 and expires after 1 year. And I’m already subscribed to that membership. Now If I again subscribe to that membership, it should add another year to that membership. It works as above if no discount code is used. But If a discount code is used (say $50 intial payment and 1 year validity), then It starts the membership from that date as a new membership ignoring the already available dates. Giving me only 1 year membership. Please help me with this issue. Thank You

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to Paid Memberships Pro.

When making use of a discount code and renewing it early will lose the remaining time the member’s account has. We are aware of this behavior but do not have an ETA as to if/when its functionality will be changed and improved.

Members that purchase the same level for the same price will experience an extension on their membership when renewing early though.

If this functionality is urgently required, I would recommend taking a looking at the the pmpro_checkout_level filter https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/hook/pmpro_checkout_level/ which you can hook into and extend the enddate from there.

If you are not comfortable with making these changes yourself, I would recommend posting a project on https://jobs.wordpress.net.

Feel free to reach out if there’s anything else we can assist you with.
