Problem with new albums

    Hi

    Just wanted some advice.
    Does creating a new ‘User’ in wordpress, generate a new Member Gallery?

    If so, perhaps I did things the wrong way.
    I firstly created 3 members galleries, and then created 3 new users.
    I noticed on the Gallery page that there were now duplicate albums for each of the 3, with different Descriptions, so I can only think that creating a new user has generated the extra album?
    Now that I have them, which would you recommend removing? I want to be sure that when they upload, they only get the choice of their own album to upload to – I have set this in Settings – and wonder if I remove the wrong album, I will break this link?

    Only if you configured that.

    Albums for registered users are created if Table IX-D9: Grant an album Create an album for each user logging in is ticked.

    Note the importance of the Grant Parent(s). The created albums will all have its parent album setting to that parent album. It is clever to have them created as subalbums of a top-level album, so you can display them easily apart from other albums.

    If you have already albums owned by users, make sure you set the parent of them to the right album: the grant parent of your choice as confgured in Table IX-11.1.

    If there are multiple albums of the same user, and you do not want that, move all the photos to the same album (use the album admin -> Bulk) screen to move them all at once; and delete the empty album.
