Problem with New User Notification shortcodes in v1.3.72

  • Firstly I would like to say thank you so much for such a feature-packed plugin!

    I experienced an issue with the v1.3.72 update where some of the shortcodes in the ‘New User Notification’ email returned blank values. Rolling back to v1.3.71 has removed this issue. It seemed to only affect the shortcodes that referred to the wp_usermeta table (i.e. the {user_login} and {user_email} shortcodes still worked fine in 1.3.72, but {first_name},{last_name},{country} returned blank values).

    I am fairly new to this but was it easy to roll back – did you need a specific plugin to rollback and is there any danger of losing user data by doing this?

    Hi Jeff,

    I used the fantastic WP-Rollback plugin which was very easy to use, but yes there are risks with using this sort of plugin (Make sure you read the warnings and follow the backup/testing advice on the plugin page first).

    Hi there,

    Thank you so much for looking into this – i tried out version v1.3.73.8 but unfortunately the problem is still there.

    Someone a lot more knowledgeable than myself will be having a look at my setup this afternoon so hopefully we’ll be able to give you some more feedback than just “it doesn’t work”!
