    Hello,

so far everything worked perfectly with AMP and the (mobile) theme from Newspaper. However, since today it became strange. I’m not aware of having changed anything serious on the page, but I suddenly found AMP was no longer visible on the left side of the dashboard menu. If you were then on the page (logged in), it did say AMP at the top of the admin bar, but before that it said something like “&#6999 AMP”, so as if some code had been added to the icon. I then had debug enabled, and found this in the logs:

[11-Nov-2022 15:40:46 UTC] PHP Notice: Function amp_has_paired_endpoint was called <strong>incorrectly</strong>. Function called while AMP is disabled via"amp_is_enabled" filter. The service ID &quot;paired_routing&quot; is not recognized and cannot be retrieved. Please see <a href="https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/">Debugging in WordPress</a> for more information. (This message was added in version 2.1.1.) in /www/htdocs/x/x/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5833

The error repeats constantly. Strange also that AMP only reappeared in the menus when I disabled the Mobile Theme plugin. There I then submitted this ticket for support: ampwp-7db5a704-5120-56e5-b5d8-d1f040893acc

I hope we can identify the problem quickly.

Edit #1: The mobile has reset itself to “use mobile theme for mobile” (was “AMP” before). When I set it to AMP, I see the plugin in the dashboard menu again, but when I try to open it up (settings, support or whatever), I get an error.

Edit #2: Now suddenly it worked. I see it in the dashboard menu, but not on the front end top menu. New support ticket with this setup is ampwp-cbd9d70f-aba7-5c36-94e3-b5d6936ddb98

Edit #3: On-page AMP pages (using ?amp=1) don’t work anymore though. And I think I know why I see it in the menu again: Could be because “Enable Developer Tools” is activated now (wasn’t before).

Edit #4: Suddenly it works again. Didn’t do much now, other than putting the same settings into the plugin I had (did uninstall it once for troubleshooting reasons, so the settings were reset)

Thank you very much, and best regards,
    eC

    Hello @ecronik

Thank you for all the input, I hope that your issues are resolved, This is very strange.

Also please note that sometimes plugin and theme updates (NewsPaper, Mobile theme plugin) bring new changes, that may break some things but those are patched up in minor releases.

Let us know if you face any further issues.
